Yah. Plus there are a lot of members who are artists, but I know we are all busy, so I'm not sure how long it will take for them to submit work . . .
I just had an idea! We can post the entries in the Spirit Showcase here at the forum and (if there are 10 or less entries) we can create a poll to have guild members vote on which one they think should win. Or do you think we should just select a few judges (you, me, maybe Tin and Maru) to decide the winners?
Also, we can display the artwork and the rules of the competition on your pet page! :0

Yeah we could definately put the rules on my petpage or something....where would the pictures be then???
we could have a first competition and see how long it takes for people, it would give us a good idea on how long each one takes or whatever...
as far as judges goes, urm- judges sunds like a great idea yeah I guess, would that be okay? I dunno who it would be though.

That's a good question Keiko. I think the drawings should be definitely limited to Ghibli films - but do we want to make it strictly Spirited Away? I'm thinking maybe yes (other art can still be posted in the Spirit Showcase here at the forum). Maybe if it goes well we can have another competition open to all Ghibli films or even more broad (like anime in general)!
I'll have Tin upload the pictures on the guild fanart page (aka - her photobucket account!) but we can link to them on your page and/or the Showcase!
Although, having everyone vote is a good way to get more members involved (including those who don't want to do a drawing!). Maybe we could do both. Have one prize for the judges pick, then another for the entry with the most member votes!^^

Yah. I re-read all our previous discussions. It all sounds like good ideas. All that's really left now is a list of rules and to put all the information up on your pet page. If you don't mind Koaki, could you make up a list of rules? I'll edit them and add anything I think is necessary, but it would save me a lot of time, if you wrote down the basics for me.
Then, I'll write up the code and email it to you so you can post it on your page!
**Also, we could start discussing other ideas for events. It sounds like you have a lot of good ideas. We can discuss them in the Suggestion Box thread!

Yeah, uh, Maru knows nothing about art, so she probably shouldn't be a judge. She's a music. (Apparently, according to my Sekai friends, I'm violin-sexual, so yeah... And I just got 78 on a piano exam today.)

Of course, you don't have to be an expert on art to have an opinion. It just depends on if you like something or not. Is it visually pleasing or interesting to you? Though there are artistic "standards" about what's good art, real art is subjective. What appeals to one's personal taste may not be understood by others.
Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is you should still vote in the popular vote at least (I think we should let the entire guild vote on their favorite, then me and Koaki, and Tin if she wants can judge a separate prize).
