Haha! A friend of mine thought the same thing! But she watched it a long time ago, without subtitles and she's Chinese! She knows a little Japanese too, but I don't think she knows the language well enough to pick up on the more subtle things (like them falling in love!).

The only language my school teaches is French... but that's okay, 'cause I'm fluent in French now!

That's awesome Maru! I wish I was fluent in another language. I took Spanish for several years but I don't remember that much. I actually want to learn many different languages - french, italian, german, and japanese! I think it would be really great next time I travel to be able to communicate with people in other countries in their own language! People all over the world take the time to learn English so why shouldn't I be just as considerate?
Of course that will be a lot of work, so maybe I'll just focus on Japanese for now! O__o

LOL...yo-mama...wow. But in Spirited Away...Yu-baaba (yo-mama) did have a "b" sound in it. But whatever...I don't like french. I SUCK at it. So hard too...like th avoirs and stuff and yeha. Now I know how to ask questions, answer them, school items, family, and colors and now I'm learning body parts...me drawing a KERORO (SGT Frog) for my french body to label xD
My sister wants me to learn Spanish so if we ever go there...I will know how to communicate but I want to learn Japanese...and maybe italian (like Yu-baaba) BUT in our high school (my future high school, RHS (richomnd high)) we can only learn Spanish, Japanese, or french. Yeah. Better than some other school because usually, other school onbly have French...sorry for the loooooooooooong post.

Yo-Mamma . . . Hahaha!
That makes sense that a lot of Canadian Schools only offer French. Some California schools only offer Spanish.
You should watch both the dub and sub of Spirited Away (which one have you seen?) - I love them both a lot! I'm actually glad Disney bought the rights to all of Miyazaki's films. They've done a really great job on all their dubs . . . except Totoro. I finally saw their version - I thought it was SO bad. Of course the original Fox dub was the first Miyazaki I ever saw, so I'm pretty biased against the new one. But I still really think the old one was much better. I thought all the new actors didn't have any feeling in their voices. >.<
